Native Canoe Journeys – Tribal Journeys of the Pacific NW is ON!

Canoes are on the waters.. heading to Neah Bay, Washington, USA. (see routes & schedules)

More canoes will join the journey in the coming days, and all will join for Canoe Entry Ceremonies at Makah Tribe in Neah Bay on July 19, 2010.

They will paddle to Muckleshoot with Squamish canoes.

July 13: Kyuquot to MuWashaht, BC.

July 14: MuWashaht to Hesquiaht, BC.

July 15: Hesquiaht to Ahousaht, BC.

July 16: Ahousaht to Opitsaht, BC.

July 17: Opitsaht to Ucluelet, BC.

July 18: Ucluelet to Port Alberni or Huayaht, BC

Notes:  After Ucluelet, there are 3 routes the Nuu chah nulth are taking.

NUU CHAH NULTH – PORT ALBERNI ROUTE, B.C. 

July 18: Ucluelet to Port Alberni, BC.

July 19: Port Alberni to Nanoose Bay, BC.

July 20: Nanoose Bay to Sechelt, BC.

July 21: Sechelt to Squamish, BC.

(Joins with other canoes from Squamish to Muckleshoot.)

July 23: Wyaatch to Makah (Neah Bay), WA.

(Joins with other canoes from Neah Bay, on to Muckleshoot.)

July 22: Pachedaaht to T’Sou-ke, BC.

July 23: T’Sou-ke to Beecher Bay, BC.

July 23-24: Stay-over Beecher Bay.

July 25: Beecher Bay to Elwha, WA.

(Joins with other canoes from Elwha to Muckleshoot.)
