Canoes Update July 24th

South Sound Route canoes (starting at Squaxin on July 14th) landed July 23 at Elwha (Port AngelesHollywood Beach).  They will have a two-day rest at Elwha. 5 AM Friday July 25th Canoes will take off from Elwha (Hollywood Beach) crossing the Straight of Juan de Fuca to Esquimalt / Songhees. Those include:  Cowlitz, Chehalis, Squaxin Island, Nisqually, Puyallup, Muckleshoot, Suquamish, Port Gambles S’Klallam, Jamestown S’Klallam, and Elwha Klallam

Those traveling the East Coast: Check with Kuleet Bay to confirm IF there is a landing July 27th. (Info sent by Jerri who received word from Dallas Brock of the Kuleet Bay Band said no landing there. Research is being done to find out solid info.) This will affect the Salish Sea Route and the Northern Route of canoes. Dawnda will have the final word on this.
